Awards for the Bra\u010d Film Festival \u2013 Design and Production by Galerija Jak\u0161i\u0107<\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"88\" data-end=\"537\">For the ninth edition of the Bra\u010d Film Festival, one of the most important film events on the island of Bra\u010d, Jak\u0161i\u0107 gallery conceived and created a unique series of stone awards that represent a fusion of art, design, and the tradition of stone craftsmanship. This project places a special emphasis on award design as an artistic and authorial expression, where every detail carries symbolism and a connection to the world of film.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"539\" data-end=\"857\">The concept of the awards was developed by artist <a href=\"https:\/\/galerijajaksic.com\/en\/dina-jaksic-pavasovic\/\"><strong>Dina Jak\u0161i\u0107 Pavasovi\u0107<\/strong><\/a>, while their production was carried out in our stonemasonry <a href=\"https:\/\/klesarskaradionica-jaksic.hr\/en\"><strong>workshop<\/strong><\/a>, combining contemporary design with traditional hand-carving techniques. Each award is unique and handcrafted (custom made), giving it additional value and authenticity.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"859\" data-end=\"1480\">A total of four awards were created \u2013 for Best Feature Film, Best Short Film, Best Children\u2019s Film, and for the winning team in the film quiz. The design of each award was tailored to its category, further emphasising the individuality and character of each piece. The award for Best Feature Film is shaped after a segment of the festival\u2019s logo, representing the universal symbol of motion \u2013 the \u201cplay\u201d icon. For the short film category, this symbol is reinterpreted in a more concise and reduced form, while the children\u2019s award is designed more freely, with a playful line reminiscent of a child\u2019s drawing.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1482\" data-end=\"1807\">These stone sculptures \u2013 awards are crafted with special attention to form, texture, and proportion, transforming them into more than just trophies \u2013 they become lasting artistic objects. Stone, as a material, symbolises durability, value, and permanence, making it an ideal medium for recognising cinematic achievements.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1809\" data-end=\"2128\">The Bra\u010d Film Festival brings together renowned international and regional filmmakers each year, including Academy Award winners as well as emerging authors presenting their work for the first time. For an event of such significance, the awards themselves must reflect the same level of artistic and symbolic value.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2130\" data-end=\"2493\" data-is-last-node=\"\" data-is-only-node=\"\">Participation in this project confirms Galerija Jak\u0161i\u0107\u2019s ongoing dedication to the development of artistic design, stone sculpture, and custom-made stone products, which bridge tradition and contemporary expression.
