Jak\u0161i\u0107<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"60\" data-end=\"321\">The monument to Mario Purati\u0107 was conceived as a thoughtful and demanding project. From the very beginning, it was envisioned as a lasting sign of respect. And as a public sculpture that clearly communicates a story. A story of a man, of work, and of invention.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"323\" data-end=\"746\">For the execution of the monument, our sculptor <a href=\"https:\/\/galerijajaksic.com\/en\/lovre-jaksic\/\"><strong>Lovre Jak\u0161i\u0107<\/strong><\/a> was selected. With many years of experience working in stone, Lovre has created a large number of public sculptures. As well as numerous stone portraits. His work is characterised by clarity of form and respect for the material. This was essential for this project. Lovre is also a highly skilled portrait sculptor, as confirmed by the portrait of Mario Purati\u0107.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"748\" data-end=\"1008\">This monument holds a special place in Lovre\u2019s body of work. The reasons are manifold. The figure of Mario Purati\u0107 is strongly connected to the island of Bra\u010d. And the author himself comes from the island. This closeness was felt throughout the entire process.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1010\" data-end=\"1508\">The work began with modelling in clay. This stage defined the basic form and facial expression. A mould was then produced. This step was necessary to ensure precision. It was followed by pointing in stone. This is a technically demanding phase and requires great experience. Every transfer of measurement must be accurate and without compromise. In the execution itself, our <a href=\"https:\/\/klesarskaradionica-jaksic.hr\/en\"><strong>workshop<\/strong><\/a> also played an important role, as it is fully equipped for the production of even the most complex stone elements.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1510\" data-end=\"2017\">The monument was conceived as a combination of a classical portrait and architectural mass. The pedestal has a clean and strong form. It supports the figure. But it also plays an important role in the overall composition. A detail of Purati\u0107\u2019s most important invention is carved in stone. This element is clearly recognisable. His hand rests on the invention. This gesture speaks of achievement. And of pride. The other hand is not shown. This brings calm to the figure and further emphasises the symbolism.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2019\" data-end=\"2432\">Mario Purati\u0107 was an innovator and inventor. His name is permanently linked to the development of modern fishing. His invention changed the way work at sea was carried out. And it brought safety and efficiency to generations of fishermen. Although he worked abroad, he remained strongly connected to Bra\u010d. That is why this monument is important to the local community. And why it carries a clear emotional weight.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2434\" data-end=\"2648\" data-is-last-node=\"\" data-is-only-node=\"\">It was an honour for us to be entrusted with such an important task for the community of Bra\u010d. Today, the monument stands as a clear and dignified landmark.
