data-start=\"55\" data-end=\"504\">Every day brings a variety of projects, but from time to time a task emerges that truly inspires us and encourages a different approach. This was exactly such a case \u2013 the creation of a stone sculpture of the iconic Hendrix Bridge in Zagreb. This commissioned sculpture was conceived as a personal and symbolic gift for a business partner who is closely connected to the bridge, not only as a structure, but also as a place of memories and identity.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"506\" data-end=\"1025\">Although we have completed numerous projects dominated by stone sculptures of human figures or animal forms, this assignment presented a distinctive challenge. A sculpture in white Bra\u010d stone representing an architectural structure requires a different way of thinking, precision in proportions, and a strong sense of construction. For this reason, we approached the project with great enthusiasm, exploring how to translate a bridge into stone in a way that remains faithful, yet aesthetically adapted to the material.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1027\" data-end=\"1473\">Hendrix Bridge is one of Zagreb\u2019s recognisable bridges spanning the River Sava, built in the mid-20th century as part of the railway infrastructure. Its characteristic arch construction and rhythmic sequence of vertical elements give it a distinctive visual identity. While primarily functional, over time the bridge has also become a symbol of part of the city \u2013 a place of passage, encounters, and everyday stories that add to its significance.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1475\" data-end=\"2158\">Given that the original bridge is a large-scale metal structure, it was necessary to adapt the design so that the stone sculpture would retain recognisability while functioning within a smaller format. It is precisely in this shaping process that our <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/klesarskaradionica-jaksic.hr\/en\">workshop<\/a><\/strong> comes to the fore, where an idea is transformed into a tangible form through careful carving and stone craftsmanship. Instead of creating a literal replica, we opted for a stylised approach \u2013 reducing the bridge to its essential lines and contours, emphasising its silhouette and structural rhythm. In doing so, the sculpture acquired a more contemporary, almost minimalist character, while preserving its symbolic essence.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2160\" data-end=\"2531\">Particular attention was given to details, including the iconic inscription found on the bridge, which we carefully translated into stone, adding an extra layer of authenticity to the piece. The use of white Bra\u010d stone further highlights the purity of form and the durability of the material, making this sculpture not only an aesthetic object, but also a lasting symbol.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2533\" data-end=\"2926\" data-is-last-node=\"\" data-is-only-node=\"\">This project is yet another example of how a commissioned sculpture can transcend traditional motifs and become a personal story told through <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/galerijajaksic.com\/en\/kamen-i-od-kamena\/\">stone<\/a><\/strong>.
