After several months of work, the triptych of our painter Dina Jakšić Pavasović was completed. These are three large canvases measuring 135 x 110 cm that form a unique whole, an inseparable work of painting. The choice of colors was made according to the principle of maximum reduction. Each painting is dominated by one color (red, orange or yellow) which mixes in parts with blue tones and together make the most expressive painting gesture, the focus of each canvas. The surrounding area is painted with white oil under which hints of different colors shine. Although, superficially, white is the most common color, it is still in the service of the chromatic art form, which we see as the most dominant in each of the three oils on canvas. Arranged next to each other, the paintings form a unique but dynamic sequence of artistic elements where we keep our attention on each painting separately but perceive them as a harmonious whole.
The paintings have just been exhibited in the Jakšić Gallery in Split and cover the entire north wall of the gallery space. We invite all art lovers to see them live!
