Dr. Art. Dina Jakšić Pavasović began her artistic education at the School of Fine Arts in Split and continued at the Accademia di Belle Arti in Rome, where she graduated in painting. She achieved the highest level of education in the field of art by earning a doctorate at the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb, obtaining the academic title of Doctor of Art.
Her doctoral dissertation, titled “On Dowry Through Artistically Shaped Space”, was completed in the field of art, within visual arts, specialising in painting, under the mentorship of Prof. Igor Rončević and Dr. Anči Leburić.
She is the recipient of numerous awards and recognitions in the fields of art and product design, and successfully applies her artistic knowledge in working with stone, through the design of various functional objects as well as public space design projects.
She is a member of the Croatian Association of Fine Artists (HDLU) in Zagreb and the Croatian Association of Visual Artists (HULU) in Split. Throughout her professional career, she has collaborated as an external associate with the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb and the Arts Academy in Split.
Dina Jakšić Pavasović began exhibiting during her studies, presenting her work in both solo and group exhibitions in Croatia and abroad. She particularly highlights exhibitions on her native island of Brač, often set in unconventional spaces through which she explores and emphasises island identity and local tradition.
