Another Christmas has arrived at Jakšić Gallery in Split – and as every year, we have made a special effort to let our window display and interior tell a unique festive story. For us, decorating the window is not just about aesthetics, but a way to convey warmth, discovery and the joy of the season through stone, light and carefully considered details. Every element is thoughtfully placed to create an atmosphere that invites passers-by to pause, observe, and step into a space where tradition meets contemporary design.
This year, the space is dominated by red – a strong and elegant contrast to the white Brač stone. This combination brings both warmth and dynamism, highlighting the natural beauty of the material. Stylised Christmas trees stand out on the glass storefront, simple yet striking forms that, combined with reflections of light, create a contemporary and refined visual. The interplay of light and shadow further emphasises the purity of lines and the subtlety of details.
The shelves, part of the gallery’s permanent display, have taken on a new role – their stone elements have been transformed into layered, decorated trees, tied together with red ribbons that accentuate the structure and texture of the stone. In this way, everyday gallery elements become part of the festive scenography, creating a balance between functionality and aesthetics.
This year, we have given special attention to new products created in our small studios and workshop. We present a new stone calendar – a minimalist, tactile and durable object that combines functionality and design, created to last for years. There are also new candle holders, where the combination of white stone and red accents creates a warm and intimate festive atmosphere. Stone houses, appearing both as standalone pieces and hanging ornaments, bring a sense of home, comfort and understated beauty.
Alongside these new pieces, our recognisable products remain part of the collection: the stone flower as a lasting symbol of nature and elegance, Christmas necklaces that evoke tradition through clean form and material, and stone snowflakes – delicate, precisely crafted ornaments that perfectly complement the festive mood and fit effortlessly into any space.
As every year, we have prepared a small token of appreciation for our customers – with every purchase, we gift a Christmas tree ornament.
