From the hands of our designer Ida Stipčić Jakšić comes jewellery that transcends traditional adornment and enters the realm of art. Ida approaches each piece as a small sculpture – intuitive, thoughtful, and guided by a deep sensitivity to the material. Her distinctive design signature is rooted in the idea that the stone leads the form, while silver is shaped in its service, subtly accompanying and enhancing its natural beauty.
Ida’s knowledge of stone and its craftsmanship stems from a rich family tradition – the Jakšić workshop has been continuously working with stone for over 120 years, passing down skills and a profound understanding of the material through generations. This strong connection to stone is evident in every piece of jewellery.
In this collection, malachite holds a special place – a semi-precious stone known for its rich history and powerful symbolism. Its distinctive green tones and layered, almost hypnotic patterns are never repeated – each cut reveals a new composition of lines and circles. This unpredictability makes every piece truly unique. Traditionally, malachite is associated with protection, transformation, and inner balance, and it is believed to support emotional stability and have a calming effect on the body.
This handcrafted jewellery made of semi-precious stones and silver is conceived as a series of small, wearable sculptures. More substantial rings, whether rectangular or circular in form, emphasise the depth and rhythm of malachite’s natural patterns, while a wide silver bracelet follows the line of the wrist and highlights the stone’s dramatic transitions. Necklaces range from geometrically structured pendants to softer, organic, drop-like forms, where malachite is fully expressed – sometimes as a precisely framed structure, and at other times as a freer, almost fluid form suspended within silver.
Each piece is entirely handcrafted, unique and unrepeatable, with a strong emphasis on sculptural quality and character. Part of this collection is already held in private collections of jewellery enthusiasts, while the remaining pieces are available in our galleries in Split and on the island of Brač.
This jewellery is not merely an aesthetic accessory – it is a personal artefact, a fusion of nature and art, shaped with respect for the stone and a clear authorial vision.
