Our stone set is made with one line of cut in stone in order to achieve the maximum usability with minimal waste. Several sets are made at the same time from a large block of stone and later cut into individual pieces. The set consists of two bowls, coasters and a bottle holder. The basic part of the set is a large beautiful bowl with strict geometric outer edges and irregular inner shape. Monumental and subtle at the same time, perfect for any space. The upper part of the set is a stone tray, ideal for nuts and small fruits, typical for Dalmatia and the Mediterranean. The central part of the set consists of two parts: stone coasters and a bottle holders, the most exciting part of the set for us. This is not a typical bottle holder. It is interesting and exciting from every angle. Just like a sculpture! 🙂
The stone set is made by our workshop Jakšić, which is located in Donji Humac on the island of Brač. The “Quatro” set received a valuable award from the International Design Awards, a Los Angeles-based competition in the product design category. The awards are given “with the aim of recognizing and promoting established design visionaries, and discovering new talents.” Last year, the set was also shortlisted for the annual award of the world-famous design and architecture portal Deezen, based in London.
